When wearing microlinks it's important to use a brush more than a come near the scalp area where the hair extensions and the real hair is attached. Here is a list of 3 types of brushes that may be used and the best uses to help with special handle and care while wearing M.O.B. Microlinking Methods.


  1. Boar Bristle Brush - Typically soft and glide over the hair easily. This brush is less likely to get caught between the area near the scalp and where the extensions are attached. This brush is best used to smooth edges and nape hairs or to pull the hair in a ponytail.

  2. Detangle Brush - Typically makes detangling hair easier and don’t cause excessive pull on the hair. This brush is best used to detangle install from the scalp area to the ends of hair or to pull in ponytail or other updo styles.

  3. Paddle Brush - Typically best used with blow drying hair and can be used to detangle in some cases. You have to be a bit more careful when using a paddle brush as all are not created equal and some brushes may cause extra pulling. This brush is best used to detangle install from middle of hair to the ends of hair or to blow dry the hair.
