Protective Hair Style Abuse

LATELY 7 SEEM TO BE THE NUMBER OF MONTHS PEOPLE KEEP THEIR SEW-IN in*** THIS HAVE GOT TO STOP!!! WEAVE WEARERS YOUR SEW-IN/EXTENSIONS HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE!!! YOUR "PROTECTIVE STYLE" BECOMES "NOT SO PROTECTIVE" WHEN YOU DECIDE TO NEGLECT YOUR HAIR & WEAR YOUR SEW-IN For HALF A YEAR +!!!ONE OF THE REASONS YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR SEW-IN OUT WITHIN 2-3 MONTHS IS BECAUSE AS YOUR HAIR GROW (new growth) AWAY FROM THE SCALP THE WEIGHT OF THE EXTENSIONS TENDS TO BECOME HEAVIER ON THE STRANDS & CAN CAUSE YOUR HAIR TO TEAR/BREAK OFF.

EVERYTHING IS ALL FUN AND GAMES WHILE WEARING THE SEW-IN THAT LONG UNTIL ALL THINGS ......COME TUMBLING OFF YOUR SCALP (possible hair loss) DURING THE TAKE DOWN PROCESS!!! THEN ISH GET REAL DON'T IT??? STOP PLAYING WITH YOUR HAIR LIKE THAT AND ACTING LIKE YOU TOO BUSY TO REMOVE YOUR WEAVE OR WHAT NOT or ACT LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT' S BEEN IN‼️ I'M JUST SAYING‼️ HAIR LOSS IS REAL!!! I EXPERIENCE BREAKDOWN MOMENTS OFTEN FROM PEOPLE THAT TRULY SUFFER FROM THIS...DON'T LET IT BE YOU!!! DON'T CAUSE YOUR OWN HAIR LOSS!!! via Instagram...

I made this post via instagram a few hours before I ran across some heart breaking news!!!

Catch the video of a young lady who wore here sew-in for 9 months....just watch the outcome of what could happen if you do this.....https://www.instagram.com/p/BYtQwJ_FGgx/?taken-by=shantastichair

Here is what the stylist warned!!!

@everythinhbomb 📷 Attention Ladies i can't stress the importance of healthy hair care and maintenance when getting a sew installment... sew ins are a protective style not a forever style it's meant to last up to 2 to 3 months being the max... sadly this client left her install in for 9 months and this is the outcome... I couldn't take the braids apart because all of her hair was molded and matted all the way through out her head... please let this be a learning lesson for those who think holding on to there sew ins forever is okay.... please please please do better .....
