If you’re looking for the perfect birthday weekend in Atlanta, let me just say this ATL understood the assignment. From rooftop pool views overlooking Centennial Olympic Park to brunch with my girls, game-show energy, free concerts, and tourist moments that was just what the doctor ordered. This birthday weekend was the perfect mix of fun, slow mornings, relaxation, and grown-woman vibes.
Whether you’re planning a girls trip, birthday staycation, or just looking for fun things to do in Atlanta for adults, here’s exactly how I spent my 3-day birthday weekend in Atlanta at Margaritaville.

Day 1: Massage, Brunch, Games & Rooftop Views
My birthday vibes were — cute and relaxed. Before the fun, the birthday vibes were set with an hour in-home massage. I had already had my bags packed and loaded the car before my massage so that after my massage, it was right into the glam and head for brunch.
Birthday Brunch at T’s Brunch Bar
I started my birthday weekend with brunch at T’s Brunch Bar, because I’m always here for a good brunch spot. I went with my girlfriends and sister, and honestly, the food and the vibes were good — the reviews didn’t lie!
One thing I will say: reservations are definitely needed, especially on weekends. Even with reservations, there can still be a wait, but they do warn you ahead of time so you know what to expect. Thankfully, the wait didn’t ruin the experience because once we got seated, everything from the service to the food made up for it.
Another plus? Parking was easy. There’s a parking deck right by the restaurant, which made things super convenient for us girls.
If you’re planning a birthday brunch in Atlanta, this spot is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary.
Birthday Brunch Essentials I Recommend
Before heading out, make sure you have:
A portable phone charger for content day
Comfortable but cute heels
A birthday sash or accessories
A mini purse or crossbody bag
A tripod for group photos
You can easily grab birthday travel essentials from Amazon or affordable last-minute birthday items from Walmart.
Competitive Fun at The Game Show Challenge
After brunch, we headed to The Game Show Challenge for some competitive fun. Imagine feeling like you’re on Wheel of Fortune and The Price Is Right all at the same time. That’s the energy!
There were three teams, my birthday crew and two other groups for our Game Show Challenge. When I booked the experience there was an option to book a private room of 4 or more guest. I had 6 guest, but I didn’t think we would have as much fun with just six people so I didn’t opt to. Which I am glad I did not because we ended up down one person and I think the more people, other teams, made the experience more interactive, competitive, and fun.
My crew and I had a good time! As they say, a “time was HAD.” Everybody was involved and enjoying themselves! I definitely would do this one on repeat!
If you’re searching for fun birthday activities in Atlanta for adults, definitely add this to your list.
Oh and no need to be concerned with parking. There was plenty of on-site parking, so parking wasn’t an issue at all, which is always a win in Atlanta.
Rooftop Pool Views Overlooking Centennial Olympic Park
To end Day 1, I invited my sister’s with me to my room so that I can end my birthday on the rooftop pool with my favorite girls.
The rooftop overlooked Centennial Olympic Park, and the sunset and city views were beautiful. After being out all day, sitting poolside and soaking in the skyline felt like the perfect way to relax and reset.
If you’re booking a birthday staycation in Atlanta, I highly recommend finding a hotel downtown with rooftop amenities and walkable attractions. Here are my favorites: Margaritaville, Marriott,
You can find amazing rooftop hotels and downtown Atlanta staycation deals on Expedia.
Day 2: Free Concert Vibes & Dinner Downtown Free Concert in the Park
Day 2 was a go-with-the-flow day! I rose up late, open the blinds, had my leftovers from brunch, and sat in the bed to read.
Knowing that go to the park was a possibility for me. I brought my cooler, water, some snacks, and my rollout blanket. I am so glad I did because, as my slow morning was happening, I got a message from the hotel to let me know that there was a free concert over at the park. I thought, why not check it out? I’m always here for good live band!
Little did I know, that concert was what I needed to fuel my day, great music, great energy, people dancing, relaxing, and just enjoying the moment. The singer was AMAZING and her band….whew! She worked the crowd, SANG them old school R&B songs, and her band played their tails off!!! Sometimes the best parts of a trip aren’t even the expensive moments — it’s the unexpected experiences that make the weekend memorable.
If you’re planning a birthday weekend in Atlanta on a budget, definitely check out free events happening downtown while you’re there.
For park concerts or outdoor events, I definitely recommend bringing:
A portable blanket
Cooler
A clear bag
Portable fan
Water bottle
Dinner & Downtown Nightlife
After the concert, I dropped my cooler to my room and headed to dinner inside the hotel.
Whether you decide to dine in your hotel or not Atlanta nightlife always has something happening and there are many restaurant options nearby and within walking distance.
If you’re traveling for a birthday weekend, I definitely recommend making reservations ahead of time because weekends get busy quickly.
Day 3: Tourist Moments, Rooftop Relaxation & ResettingTouring
World of Coca-Cola
For Day 3, I decided to do something more touristy and visited the World of Coca-Cola. I’ve lived in Georgia my whole life and never have been and I wanted to experience it at least once.
The exhibits were interactive, there were plenty of photo opportunities, and the tasting room experience was definitely interesting. Especially how different Coca Cola taste in different parts of the world. My favorite exhibit and photo op moment was right past the Hall of Collabs area. It was my favorite color, red! I enjoyed making my own beat at the Remix station. You could even download it for later.
I’d say World of Coca Cola is a great activity if you’re visiting Atlanta for the first time or planning a solo stay, a girls trip itinerary with a mix of fun and sightseeing.
If you’re staying downtown near Centennial Olympic Park, it’s also conveniently located nearby.
For exploring Atlanta comfortably, I definitely recommend:
Comfortable walking shoes
Selfie stick
Crossbody bags
Portable chargers
Lightweight outfits for walking around downtown
Travel essentials are easy to find on Amazon.
You can also book Atlanta attractions, hotels, and vacation packages through Expedia.
Rooftop Pool Reset Before Heading Home
Before dinner and wrapping up the trip, I spent more time at the rooftop pool just relaxing, reflecting, and enjoying the final moments of the weekend.
Sometimes birthdays aren’t just about doing the most. Sometimes they’re about slowing down, appreciating life, spending time alone to relax, reset, and rest, while creating memories that genuinely make YOU happy.
This birthday weekend gave me a little bit of everything:
Fun
Relaxation
Good food
Quality time with myself
Beautiful views
New experiences
That’s exactly what I wanted and needed!
If you’re planning a birthday weekend in Atlanta, I highly recommend:
Staying downtown near Centennial Olympic Park
Booking brunch reservations early
Adding at least one fun group activity
Choosing a hotel with rooftop amenities
Leaving room in your itinerary to simply relax and enjoy the moment
And most importantly… don’t forget to take the pictures. 💕
