UnBig My Back: You Won’t Believe What It Took

In 2024 I wrapped up my 30s and entered into a new decade of life. As I approached my 40s I began to evaluate every aspect of my life that I could think of and took inventory of where I was and where I wanted to go next!


One of the things on my list was my battle to keep fitness in my life! Off and on I would work out, but I did not stick to it as a lifestyle and it showed!


As the years had gone by I saw myself in photos and didn’t truly like the body I had aloud myself to be inside of. Although I faced challenges within my body with my thyroid and having to eventually have my whole thyroid remove, I didn’t want that to be an excuse as to why I couldn’t get my body together! Because it is NOT, unless I made it one.


Even though my body is facing hormonal challenges due to my thyroid and aging, I knew the results I saw for myself would not happen with excuses, they would only happen with action! The first action I decided to take was incorporating fitness into my life!


The wake-up call:

So after celebrating my birthday along side my kids and husband in Mexico last May (2024), I decided that I would fully emerge in a plan to make fitness a part of my lifestyle. I decided I would no longer put fitness to the way side no matter what my week looked like!


The discipline:

Based on my personal life demands, last July (2024) I decided I would commit to 3 days of working out a week! I’m not one to go to a gym, because I have always enjoyed the results I can get from home, so I knew that an online program would do or a DVD. When workout DVDs was a thing, thanks to my mom’s DVD workout collection, I was the one who did TAE BO with Billy Blanks and Denise Austin.


Having a family and a kid in sports, home workouts were just more convenient and sustainable for my life. And even in this phase of my life, being in my 40s, home workouts are still what works best. Thanks to technology, DVDs are no longer needed and you can just stream workouts from anywhere of your favorite online social media fitness coaches.


A few years again, I tried two different online programs for a year or more each, but I didn’t see results with them like I did with the program I am currently in. I even feel like I worked out more and for longer sessions. Although I wasn’t getting the results I wanted, what I did gain was a bigger love for fitness as a lifestyle.


The results:

Because I knew I needed to shed some fat and pounds, I started looking into other online fitness programs from the fitness coaches I followed on social media. I remember deciding to join Fit Formula 21 not long before they decided to launch a 14 day fitness challenge around the holidays last year (2024). The results I gained from that challenge in just 14 days, affirmed that I was in the right program to help me reach my personal fitness goals and to learn the goals were reached with a meal plan and workouts less than thirty minutes.

It wasn’t until July of 2024 that I fully decided to commit to incorporating a Fit Formula 21 workout into my life 3 days a week. But little did I know the workouts from Fit Formula 21 was already transforming my body without me knowing and without a full commitment to exercise no matter what!


Working out with to this program is where I landed these results in just 7 months! Can’t wait to look at my progress photos one year later.


Now that I feel confident in fitness being a lifestyle as far as my workout goes, it is time to get my eating in 80% order.
